A bold new approach to health education

Iowa State’s innovative new degree in integrated health sciences will prepare students for health care professions through a unique blend of coursework. The program is the first undergraduate degree in Iowa to offer a fully integrated, interdisciplinary approach to health sciences with courses in science, data science, and the humanities.

The interdisciplinary concept that provides a holistic approach to health care allows me to explore all the different perspectives of health care.

Research and internship opportunities

In addition to coursework, students in the Integrated Health Sciences (IHS) Program have opportunities to work with any of the 40 faculty members in each focus area. The research experience will prepare you well for jobs, graduate school or professional schools.
